Check the microphone permission on your device. Some devices require granting mic access per site.
■ iPhone — microphone setup
- Open Settings → Apps
- Scroll down and select the browser you use (Safari / Chrome / etc.)
- Turn microphone access ON
■ Android — microphone setup
First, confirm that your browser has mic permission.
- Open the Android Settings app.
- Go to Apps → Chrome (use "See all apps" if it isn't listed).
- Tap Permissions.
- Tap Microphone and confirm "Allow only while using the app" is selected.
Then check device-wide microphone access.
Some devices have a privacy switch that blocks the mic for every app. If it's off, no app can record.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to fully open Quick Settings.
- Look for the "Mic access" tile.
- If it says "Blocked" or is off, tap it to switch to "Available".
